We're finally down to a reasonable amount of names on our shortlist
We're not looking to add any others to the list

We've got a while to decide yet (due January) so I'm not in any rush to find 'the one' just wanted to see which was people's favourites and if there's any glaringly obvious connections or connotations from these names that I'm missing?

The names are -
April
Emily
Erin
Harriet
Lydia

I like harriet best

MummytoCSJH · 16/09/2017 20:14

Lydia is one of my favourite names. If I had had a girl, DS would be Lydia Smile

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/09/2017 20:15

Only Emily or Harriet

Itsgoodforthegarden · 16/09/2017 20:17

Harriet or Lydia.
April should be born in April.

fudgesmummy · 16/09/2017 20:20

My 27 year old DD is called Harriet. I still think it is a great name!

Harriet April is lovely. Also really love Emily Grin

MrsHathaway · 16/09/2017 20:33

Oh God not HAM I take it back.

Though you could use more than one middle name...

ChocolateCrunch · 16/09/2017 20:36

Harriet

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 16/09/2017 20:38

Harriet first, then April.

MollyHuaCha · 16/09/2017 20:47

Lovely names. I like, in this order:

Harriet
Lydia
April
Emily
Erin

DuggeeHugs · 16/09/2017 20:48

I love Erin - was on my list for both DCs
Also really like Lydia. My relative is a Lydia - she's a strong woman and very lovely!

April would suit an April baby but I'd bee slightly confused by it otherwise.

I'm not keen on Harriet and Emily.

mum2be2boys · 16/09/2017 20:50

All beautiful names. My order of preference is:
Erin
Emily
Harriet
Lydia
April (but I love the idea of this as a middle name, especially with the family connection)

hitherehaz · 16/09/2017 20:52

I vote Harriet, but I'm biased as it's my name! Grin

iamdazedandconfused · 16/09/2017 20:55

Harriet Smile

MrsCharlieD · 16/09/2017 20:59

Definitely Lydia by miles. Erin is Ok, Emily I have a really strong dislike for, it's dull and overused. Harriet is not a nice sounding name to my ears. April is meh

GoingRogue · 16/09/2017 21:02

Lydia April M-surname.

She can be your little lam (b) ah Smile

DorisPegg · 16/09/2017 21:03

Can I suggest Hester?

Redpramlady · 16/09/2017 21:03

Harriet is my fav...
April is lovely
I vote Harriet April

NoCapes · 16/09/2017 21:05

OrlandaFuriosa · 16/09/2017 21:10

Lydia.

Then Harriet.

MrsHathaway · 16/09/2017 21:27

Hester is lovely, and very similar in style in Harriet. I've known two: both very clever but also elegantly beautiful.

CaminanteNoHayCamino · 16/09/2017 21:32

Perhaps you should read Pride and Prejudice before you fix on Lydia if you don't know the Bennett connection Grin. Forewarned is forearmed and all that.

Erin by a mile.

MammieBear · 16/09/2017 21:44

Don't be put off using Emily because of popularity, it depends on where you live. I think that all of them are good but April only if born in that month would I possibly consider it.

NikiBabe · 16/09/2017 21:45

I thought meh when I read that list.

Lydia as the rest are all a bit twee.

bridgetreilly · 16/09/2017 22:31

Harriet is a really good strong name.

After that Emily and Erin.

I've always found Lydia to be a bit wet and I don't like April at all, sorry.

DeadButDelicious · 16/09/2017 23:01

Lydia. Smile
