What are your thoughts on Wyatt for a boy? Do you know any?

Made me think of Wyatt Earp

I like it

KoolKoala07 · 15/09/2017 17:53

I know someone with wyatt as a surname, which puts me off it as a forename.

villainousbroodmare · 15/09/2017 18:21

American feel to it, cowboyish, bit redneck. Similar to Cody or Wayne.

Wolfiefan · 15/09/2017 18:22

What Villainous said.

I like it a lot. It was on my long list.

It is very Frontier American. Wyatt Earp, for example. But that's not a negative association. Smile

caffelatte100 · 15/09/2017 21:41

What? You can't be serious!

also reminds me of watt, i wouldn't do it personally. Do you have any other names on your list?

bridgetreilly · 15/09/2017 22:50

Is he going to be a cattle rancher in the Midwest? If so, great name.

SuburbanRhonda · 15/09/2017 22:51

It's quite cool, has a surfer dude vibe about it.

I cannot for the life of me imagine a surfer called Wyatt.

Theveryhungrybutterfly · 15/09/2017 22:52

It's dreadful!

user1471134011 · 15/09/2017 22:55

Charmed

PurplePickledPlums · 15/09/2017 22:57

I know 4 Wyatts, 3 surf!

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 15/09/2017 22:59

I really like it.

DiegoMadonna · 15/09/2017 23:01

Cattle rancher in the good ol' US of A.

SuburbanRhonda · 15/09/2017 23:02

I know 4 Wyatts, 3 surf

Sure you do.

MollyHuaCha · 15/09/2017 23:09

It's a surname.

PurplePickledPlums · 15/09/2017 23:24

Why on earth would I lie? I'm American and the name is more common there or at least it seems to be.

DiscoDiva70 · 15/09/2017 23:31

It's ok ... I think Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have a son with this name.

squoosh · 16/09/2017 00:49

I quite like it.

squoosh · 16/09/2017 00:49

Give me a Wyatt any day over a Wilfred!

HappyLollipop · 16/09/2017 01:05

Wyatt is one of those surnames turned first name, I'm personally not into that name trend but I can't say nothing bad about it. It just sounds so American!

Smitff · 16/09/2017 01:34

I know 2. The older is shortened to why-why. The younger to why.

Mclaren37 · 16/09/2017 02:48

I like it. It has a vintage old man American feel to it. Like Silas. We're living in California and it's not uncommon. (Lots of kids surf suburbanronda, outside of suburban middle englandWink).

SuburbanRhonda · 16/09/2017 09:20

I know kids surf - DD's partner is Californian Smile.

I was just surprised by the coincidence of a poster appearing who knew four Wyatts, three of whom surf, just at point when evidence was needed to back up the claim that it's a "surfer dude" name.
