Maximus opinions please!?

We are expecting our 3rd boy and we like the name Max.
Our other sons are
Jack Timothy & William Paul.
Middle names are family names... so the next natural middle name is Perry.

Max Perry Walker.

However, my husband really wants Max to be the shortened name of Maximus.

I'm not sure how I feel about the long version!?
Opinions always help as I sometimes feel my brain gets a bit fogged when we've discussed it so much!

Maximum is the horse in Tangled. That'd put me off. Max is lovely though.

I like the name Max, prefer it when shortened from Maxim though.

Max is lovely. Maxim is lovely. But I wouldn't go to Maximus. If it were me.

We didn't use Max partly as DH wanted it to be Maximus and that made me think of gladiator!

Max is much better than any of the longer versions.

Maximus - ridiculous name. Parents have watched Gladiator one too many times

Maximus is also a helluva lot of name to pull off. I think it has the potential to cause embarrassment if he turns out to be anything other than tall, strong, popular and successful.

It's a strong name yes but with everyman Max Nn it makes it more accessible.

How about Maxwell? That fits Better with sibling names.
