Have name changed as half my life is on MN.

This is 3 day old DD. Her dad and I are getting nowhere with names. Is she

Sophia?
Ada?
Mia?

If you could all come to a unanimous decision and let me know I'd be much obliged Wink

Sophia

I have just looked up most popular baby names for this year: Sophia is fourth and Mia sixth - so I would go with Ada. My daughter Lizzie, (Elizabeth) who will be thirty this year, berates me constantly for giving her a name that "half the class" had at school and says that wherever she goes/works, there will always be another Elizabeth. Your baby is gorgeous, by the way - and if you give her more than one name, she can choose to use her middle name.

I spoke to a lovely Cora on a call this morning. How about Cora Sophia? Congratulations - she is completely gorgeous

Oh my goodness she is just perfection! Congratulations OP, I vote for Ada Sophia.

igotyoubabe · 11/09/2017 12:59

Ada Sophia is a beautiful name.. what is the surname??

EduCated · 11/09/2017 13:09

First thought was Rosa - from your list I'd go with Ada.

Bubblesoup · 11/09/2017 13:24

Congratulations! I vote Ada then Mia. Sophia is lovely but too popular for me.

I like Ada Sophia.

CoveredinLansinoh · 11/09/2017 14:01

Thank you everyone Flowers Flowers And thank you for the good wishes, we think she's pretty cute too Grin.

It'll be Ada Mia or Ada Sophia I think, DH and I both like that combo.

Interesting that a few people mentioned Rosa - it was on the list until she popped out. I somehow think Rosa should be less fair so that was that (I'm functioning on as much sleep as you expect, so no worries if that makes no sense).

Surname is a typical eastern European surname, starting M and ending in A.

Xanthe or Xanthia because I say it on here a couple of weeks ago and it is a lovely unusual name.

Whisky2014 · 11/09/2017 14:07

Hannah.

Amatree · 11/09/2017 14:27

She's quite clearly a Sophie. Beautiful!

Maybebaby2 · 11/09/2017 14:53

OP I'm glad you've decided to go with Ada, as soon as I saw her photo I thought she definitely looks like an Ada! Of your middle name choices I prefare Sophia, Ada Sophia is lovely. Congratulations!

Samoyedydog · 11/09/2017 15:50

Sophia!

Sophronia · 11/09/2017 20:25
