Isabel, for preference.

Definitely not Ella. I've never liked the way it sounds. For some reason I find it quite hard to say.

Isabella - really lovely classic name.

I always think Isabel really necessary on a bicycle (sorry)

Ellis, if you're not going to go for Alexander shortened to Alex.
Isabel/Isobel. I think the more "fancy" Continental names like Isabella and Isabelle will go out of fashion, so you'll be ahead of the curve. I like the plainer version, anyway,

Isabella is lovely so is Ella it's whether you want long or short, if not Alexander, Ellis.

hungrywalrus, Iseabeau is the Scottish version, but it's pronounced Ishbel, not Isabel or Isabo.

Both Isabella and Isabel are very popular and have been for a number of years. Wonder whether they'll start to sound a little dated.

For a boy, Ellis is great!
