I just found out this little peanut is a boy. I love Alexander Atticus. Is it too out there? If I like that, what other names would I like?

Congrats! If Alexander is the first name then I don't think it's 'out there' at all, very traditional. Atticus is a cool name, I like it and works well as a middle name for Alexander or as a first name. They are two slightly different styles so I'm not sure what else you might like... we have Australian friends with sons Archer and Atticus.
Otherwise if you like Alexander how about Zachary, Xavier, Oscar, Sebastian or Maximus.

Sounds good to me.

Goosegettingfat · 06/09/2017 04:09

Love both. Not too out there. Congratulations!

Snowdog37 · 06/09/2017 04:14

Thanks all 💕😊💙 it's so exciting and quite intimidating naming another human! I think Alexander Atticus might be The Name! Dh loves it too, which is a relief! Just waiting on confirmation with a second set of blood tests that the gender is right and all is well chromosomally and then I can relax a bit and enjoy baking my little boy 😍💙

Lovely names and combination, and definitely not 'out there.'

grufallosfriend · 06/09/2017 09:24

I prefer Atticus Alexander because Atticus is a cool name and would make a great first name.

Middle names are very rarely used.

MiniMaxi · 06/09/2017 09:25

Great name! Go for it OP.

And if gender is wrong she can always be Alexandra Attica Wink

nodogsinthebedroom · 06/09/2017 10:11

It's also the right number of syllables to sing the "Alexander Hamilton" song to Smile

euanthesheepiloveyou · 06/09/2017 10:42

Love it but if it was me, I'd go Atticus Alexander as Alexander, although lovely, is quite popular & traditional. Great either way though.

Snowdog37 · 06/09/2017 12:14

nodogs that's why I love the name Alexander! The best story and musical! We've been trying to get tickets for about a year and it's been the soundtrack of this pregnancy so far 😂

OOH Atticus Alexander is also fantastic I just wasn't sure if I'm brave enough to go Atticus first. In my head I see a little tousle haired boy called Kit and my dh actually really likes too it as a diminutive of Atticus... hmmmm. Maybe we will be brave! We are in the states so there are plenty of way more out there names. As a Brit though I'm a little more reserved. But Atticus is fantastic isn't it. I love it.

Definitely be brave! Atticus Alexander is fabulous!

grufallosfriend · 06/09/2017 16:17

Atticus is such a cool name and so much more interesting than Alex(ander)! So definitely Atticus Alexander!!

Aquamarine1029 · 06/09/2017 16:31

Atticus is a WONDERFUL name. I love it. Atticus Alexander is perfect.

bready31 · 06/09/2017 16:32

Congratulations! I like Alexander, but would you shorten it? Alex is quite a common name where I live for boys/men aged 15-25. I don't think that there are many baby Alexs now so he could be the only one in his class at school. Or would he be Zander?

Atticus is lovely and quirky. As others have said, have you considered this as a first name? It's definitely more quirky than Alexander.

Other names you may like:
Henry
Zachary
James
Peter
Rory
Arthur
William
Thomas

Alex is so widely used already for girls and boys. Atticus is fab!

As long as your surname isn't Milne, that's a great choice, either way round.
