Twin names

Twins due next year, we don't know the sexes yet. We already have 3 DD's so girls names are harder than boys for us, we're also trying to avoid names that end In 'a'.

Can you add to my list please?

Hazel
Effie
Sylvie
Marnie
Ivy (Family name, not my favourite)
Kitty
Florence (I dislike, DH loves)

Rex (Will be a definite for 1 twin if a boy)
Henry
Atlas
Wilfred

(Kitty and Rex are not a desired combination, before someone comes out with cat and dog Wink)

Love Kitty and Marnie. They are two of only three girls names we had lined up (we had boys). The third was Flora. I think you need to use them and look no further!

I like Rex.

Felix
Rory
Tristan
Oscar
Otto

Do you have a front runner for the girls name? Or are none of them grabbing you as 'the one'

Lyra
Nell/Nellie
Juno

Otis
Rafe
Monty

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 05/09/2017 14:16

@Paperbagprincesspants None of them grab me anymore than the others.

I think not knowing the sex doesn't help as I don't want to get attached to a name and then not be able to use it! If that makes sense.

We will hopefully be finding out the sex in a few weeks

I also really like the girls' name Marian.

Happy choosing, op! Smile

My grandmother and her twin were Daisy and Violet. They were born in the 1880s.

Henry is a lovely name.
Other boys names i like are Harry, Lewis, Archie (my sons name), Arthur, Theo
Girls names Penelope, Besty, Addison, Lilly, Wylie, River, Summer, Melody, Odette
to name a few!
When I found out i was pregnant i made up a word doc and got on baby name websites and listed every single of i even remotely liked in a boys column/girls column then as the weeks went on i would look through maybe once/twice a week and remove names id gone off and add new names id found. By the time I was due I had gone from over 50 names each to maybe a handful overall. I found that when i first looked at the name Archie for my son I wasnt very keen (I was adamant he would be Dexter) but one day I threw Dexter out the window as i thought I'd sound an idiot calling him in the park or whatever and the name Archie took its place and stuck :)

Verity; hazel; Amber ; Lucy; Abigail
Evelyn I only liked Austin for a boy but do like Henry now . I had two girls though! Congrats on the twins btw. They're awesome!

mumofone234 · 06/09/2017 20:54

Rex and Henry are a great coupling.

mumofone234 · 06/09/2017 20:55

Oh, and I love Marnie for a girl!

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 06/09/2017 21:09

@mumofone234 Rex and Henry is my top boy combination at the moment!

I wouldn't add to the list it will just get complicated besides you have a good mix of names. I think Boy Girl Rex and Hazel, Girl Girl Sylvie and Marnie, Boy Boy Henry and Wilfred.

Rex & Otto (or Otis?) sound lovely together for twin boys.
I love Effie, Ivy & Florence (my all time fave) of your girls names but don't think they would work well with Rex as a sibling?
Sadkia and Zara as someone else suggested sound gorgeous but end in a? Is it a hard rule? Wink Madison? I think that partners well with your chosen boys name.
