We have a Lily already and the surname is Friend

DH says Max Friend sounds silly as in maximum friend!

Max Friend does sound silly, your dh is right.

Not a fan of Rufus at all so I guess that leaves me recommending Felix! None are great options tbqh OP. They just sit a bit oddly with the surname.

Rufus Friend is the best of the three, but it sounds quite close to Rupert Friend, the actor.
