What are your thoughts on Raphael nn probably Raphie (raf-ee)

Do you know any? How do you picture a Raphael to be

I love it. I picture him to be tall and lanky with longish dirty blond hair and very, very cool. Grin

I know one Raphael (nn. Raf) and I dislike the name. In this case it's because the first name really doesn't go with the surname. I think it's a hard name to pull off TBH.

OnlyTheDepthVaries · 31/08/2017 15:15

I am also seeing the vision of loveliness that Imperial describes....but can I add cut off jeans, a white t shirt and a surf board. Cracking name!

grufallosfriend · 31/08/2017 16:15

What makes a name 'hard to pull off'?

stellarfox · 31/08/2017 17:58

Love it. Also know two little girls called Raphaela nn Raffie

ShowOfHands · 31/08/2017 18:03

I have a nearly 6yo Raphael (Raf, Rafa, Raffie). He's a dirty blonde whirlwind. Cheeky, curious and cool. It suits him very much indeed.

Ponyboycurtis · 31/08/2017 18:06

I knew a Raphael many years ago when I was travelling, he was tall, handsome, polite and Canadian, we all knew him as Rafe and he was fab.

Crumbelina · 31/08/2017 18:07

It's lovely! All being well I'm going to have a Raphaela soon. Smile

Sophronia · 31/08/2017 18:39

Love it!

MissClimpsonsTypingBureau · 31/08/2017 19:30

Love it! Really wanted it for DS but DH vetoed. Do it!

Opah · 31/08/2017 19:40

Gorgeous name, but I'm picturing tall, brown mid length hair with a tan.

Raphael sounds like a heartbreaker.

See the aesthetic descriptions upthread...

I have a Raphael, chose it because I love all the nicknames. He's called Raffy/Rafi, Rafe, Rafa.
He's very blond and is obviously super cool (for a two year old....)

Buntysoven · 31/08/2017 23:36

Love it.
