My best guess would be 'In - ez'

SlugKiller · 30/08/2017 18:32

In-nez

PoppyPopcorn · 30/08/2017 18:34

I would say Eee-ness but I have also heard Inn-ess.

PovertyJetset · 30/08/2017 18:35

In- ess

But probably best to say- "tell me how you say her name"

HairNinja · 30/08/2017 18:36

Inn-ez

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/08/2017 18:37

Inn-ez

LadyPug · 30/08/2017 18:38

Haha poverty! Good one! I guessed it was to sound like inn-ay but I'm wondering now if it's to sound like inn-ess? I'll have to ask her!

In Scotland it's a boys name IN-IS

In Spain it's a girls name IN-EZ

JamOrCreamFirst · 30/08/2017 18:39

Inn-ezzz

caprifun · 30/08/2017 18:40

I knew an Ines who was Spanish, she is In-ess. Not sure if there are other pronunciations on different countries though.

GoulashSoup · 30/08/2017 18:42

In-ez

I think it is the Spanish/Portuguese version of Agnes

PoppyPopcorn · 30/08/2017 18:43

No, In Scotland the boy's name would be spelled Innes. With two "n"s.

LadyPug · 30/08/2017 18:49

It's a girl! I know that!

Ive taught a few, that's the only pronunciation I've come across so far.

NotInMyBackYard1 · 30/08/2017 18:53

Yes a hard z sound at the end - like Inez

LadyPug · 30/08/2017 19:20

Great! Thanks everyone, I'm going in saying In-ez with a hard z at the end and will hope it's right!

Eye-nez

FlavaFlav · 30/08/2017 21:31

I know a French In-ess and a Portuguese In-ish.
