I'm expecting a baby and we don't know the sex. At the moment our favourite names are:

Caleb, Luke or Benjamin
Matilda, Lydia, Tabitha, Rosie or Harriet.

However none of them seem perfect. Which are your favourites? Any ideas along these lines?

They're all good name, although I personally don't like any of your boys names, but I love Tabitha.

Your boy names are quite biblical. I like Luke but not Caleb; Ben is fine.

You might like: Adam, Isaac, Jake/Jacob, Thomas.

Matilda was super popular maybe five to seven years ago. I know loads so find it a bit dull now. Fine but not lovely. Similarly Rosie and other Rose names from say 10 years ago. Every girl who wasn't Grace was Rose!

Lydia and Harriet are two of my favourite names in the world. Others on my list (I had all sons) included: Catherine, Christabel, Annaliese, Susannah, Josephine, Juliet, Helena, Eliza/Elizabeth, Victoria.

I like Luke but prefer Luca. I love Ezra and considered it for my bump which turned out to be a girl.

I love Harriet from your list

I did consider Luca or Lucas as our surname is only one syllable but does Luca sound weird if I have no Italian connection?

I'm a huge fan of Luca - think you'd get away with it without an Italian link. Lucas is also good, I prefer both to Luke.
Benjamin is fine.
I really like Caleb.

Matilda - have known some bold ones which has ruined it for me, however still fine.
Tabitha - cat
Lydia - grand
Rosie - personally I'd go with Rose or Rosalie/Rosanna variants
Harriet - nope

No I think you can definitely get away with it. I love that name. Considered it for my first son but we settled on Leon in the end.
