I love the name Annie but DP wants a "proper" full name for her to fall back on.

Particularly interested in obscure names, so Anastasia rather than Annabel.

Annora hasn't been suggested yet so thought I'd suggest it.

Ansofie (pr. ANN-sofi)

My grandmother's "full" name was Annie - it says so on her birth certificate.

I have a proper name and the name I'm called (which is also a proper name much like Annie). It is a complete pain and a bit of an identity issue. All my legal docs are in a name I have never been called in real life and new schools, uni etc I had to explain I'm not that name.

My Annie is Annie on bc. It's a beautiful name. Could be shortened to Ann if she ever wanted to but she loves her name.

These are wonderful ideas, thank you.

Oh and I know, I think Annie is a perfectly excellent name in itself!

I like just Annie! But if I had to pick another name with Annie as a NN I'd choose Anya or Annabel I think.

IlPorcupinoNilSodomyEst · 27/08/2017 20:33

Annemieke (Dutch I think)

I know an Anna Lucy (two words always used together) - I love that. Or you could have Annabelle or Annabella. Or a prefix eg Roseanne or Lilianne.

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 27/08/2017 21:56

I know 4 Annie.

One is a nn for Anne
One is an Annie on her bc
One is short for Annabel
Oe is short for Anoushka
