It's for a friend

Not Victoria because it's the middle name of her eldest

The only ones we can think of she hates and they're just a bit, erm , not right lol

See?

Vera
Violet
Veronica
Verity
Given
Valerie

I would say Vienna, Venitia, Voila, Violetta, Viviana, Vivienne.

MammieBear · 27/08/2017 16:15

Oh and Vesper, look it up great meaning.

pepperminttaste · 27/08/2017 18:30

Vember is interesting... But might not work during that phase where you continually have to shout 'No' followed by their name. Grin

RickOShay · 27/08/2017 18:33

Vashti

LonginesPrime · 27/08/2017 18:36

Vanellope!

My bestest friend in infant school was called Veryan after the village in Cornwall. A very cool name, long before 'made up' names were common. She'd be 50 now... I might google her. Blush

MavisFlumpTheFairy · 27/08/2017 18:41

Vanda
I love Verity
Valkyrie 😳😃

lotsofconfuse · 27/08/2017 18:42

Vivienne?

Yep you're right, V is shit.

Crunchymum · 27/08/2017 19:21

Why can't she use Victoria? We're considering our DD middle name as a first name for second DD.

ShinyTamatoa · 27/08/2017 19:22

I know a little girl who is Veryan.

bridgetreilly · 27/08/2017 19:22

Well, imo, there are plenty of pretty names beginning with a V. But, OP, sounds like you've already decided there aren't. Maybe show some of these to your friend anyway, just in case she has different taste to you:

Vera
Violet
Verity
Vivienne
Viola
Vanessa
Vita
Violetta
Venetia
Virginia

I knew (of) a Veryan many years ago - the sister of a friend. They were Cornish. She'd be about 45 or so now I think. I had it on the short list for my DD2 - she is another Cornish name.

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2017 22:11

Vinka (Croatian) or Vinca
Vesna (Czech)
Varya (Russian)
Viera (Slovak)
Valentina (Romanian) - Vali for short
Vanda (Eastern European)

You need to cast your net more widely!
