Pretty much between these 2 names, unless someone can suggest a similar name we love, so what's your HONEST opinion on these names, and which one do you prefer? Although i don't watch it, i have read that Aria could be a bit Game of Thrones... Thank youSmile

I prefer Arianna to Adriana.

Terriersandtea · 27/08/2017 10:28

Aria is a GoT character so even though you don't watch it people will probably assume that's where it's come from so if that would bug you then maybe go with Adriana? I would second Arianna as a similar alternative x

Hulababy · 27/08/2017 10:31

I also prefer Ariana, though know its not one of your two choices.

I prefer Aria to Adrianna. Not keen on the harsher d sound in the middle. I don't watch GoT so that wouldn't bother me.

mammmamia · 27/08/2017 10:38

I love Aria but really dislike Adriana. I don't like girls names that sound like boys names like that, eg Erica.
Arianna is nice too.

mammmamia · 27/08/2017 10:39

I did go to university with a really prissy Adriana but she was known as Aidy for short which is quite a sweet nn.

Huffletuff · 27/08/2017 10:44

Aria is very Game of Thrones. Arianna is Harry Potter.

NovaArt3mis · 27/08/2017 10:49

I think Aria is lovely, becoming quite popular.

Technically GoT character is called Arya with a different pronounciation so I wouldn't let it put you off.

I prefer Ariana to Adriana but they're all nice.

Piglet208 · 27/08/2017 10:56

I like the name Adriana and I know 2 people with the name. Just be aware that they are both known by the shortened version Ada.

SuperBeagle · 27/08/2017 10:57

Aria.

Prefer Ariana, as others have suggested.

The Adriana I know gets called "Adri" for short, pronounced like the start of Adrian. Really not very pretty.

early30smum · 27/08/2017 11:47

Aria. It's lovely! I know an Aria spelt Arya which is also nice but maybe that's the GoT character's spelling? Ariana is also pretty. Not at all keen on Adriana, sorry.

I have heard of Arielle/Ariella which I also think are quite pretty.

daisypond · 27/08/2017 12:32

Aria is a piece of music. Arya is the GOT character. They're pronounced slightly differently. Aria is OK, but I'm not very keen on it. I don't like Adriana either, really. Ariane? Arianna? I prefer these. Aurelia?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 27/08/2017 12:35

I quite like Aria, but would worry she'd turn out to be tone deaf!

pineappley · 27/08/2017 12:41

I really like Ariana the more i think about it. Will cross of Adriana. Thanks everybody!

Alannah?

Sophronia · 28/08/2017 14:36

Ariana is lovely

Agustarella · 28/08/2017 15:00

Adriana is better. Aria doesn't sound like a 'real' name IYSWIM

DryHeave · 28/08/2017 15:02

Ariadne?

Raines100 · 29/08/2017 06:24

Aria or Ariana.
