Names for darker haired boy?

Hi,

Me and my husband are struggling to agree on any boys names. We have agreed on a few girls names we like, but I am worried that if the baby is a boy we will keep going around in circles.

I like names like Henry and Charlie - both vetoed by my husband. He likes Oscar, which is nice, but I am struggling to love it.

We both have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, so I would be surprised if Baby didn't end up with the same. Please can people give me some suggestions for names that would suit a darked haired boy? Smile

Kieran means dark haired I think. Or Bruno?

I guess it depends whether you mind giving him a name that means fair (eg Finn).

Though my DH and I both have dark hair and brown eyes and our son is fair and blue eyed so you never know!

I'm just looking for inspiration more than anything. I love traditional names, but now that my favourite names have been vetoed I'm really struggling to find any other names I like. I find girls names a lot easier.

Fwiw, ds was dark haired - like me and dh - but now his hair's much lighter.

DS was born with dark hair like daddy and is now bright red like mummy!

I don't know if particular names only suit certain colourings or not, maybe more Mediterranean names suit darker children and more Scandinavian/celtic names suit fair/red heads but quite often they change after a few weeks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think part of the problem is that I still really love the name Henry and I need to get over the fact that I can't have it (Husband hates it).

I definitely prefer traditional names though. Why do I find boys names so hard? Sad
