we don't know what we are having but we have decided on one girls name we love.
Josie
but my best friends little girl (2) is joscelyne but known as joss/jossy.

I'm going to talk to her about it being similar/sounding the same or am I massively overthinking it. my partner didn't think or associate it but I think girls can be different about their child's name Grin

I love the name Josie. I would definitely use it.
Will you put Josephine on the BC ?

Chaffinch4 · 21/08/2017 07:00

I think you're over thinking it! Josie is pretty and a different stye and sound to Joss.

MammieBear · 21/08/2017 07:03

I can see where your coming from with it being similar, I think your still fine to use it though.

SuperBeagle · 21/08/2017 07:54

It's similar but not too similar.

I love Josie. Would she be Josephine formally or just Josie?

Twistandshout77 · 21/08/2017 08:16

I think it does look like you are coping her a bit
You need to talk to her see if she minds
Will be very confusing when you have play dates trying to call them both

thanx everyone. she will be just Josie. iam going to ask her as I feel it's similar and they only call her joss not her full name!
thanx everyone xxx

I think it's fine, she'll probably get called Jojo when little which doesn't sound too similar.
