Irish Baby Girls names- Ailish

I'm expecting a little girl and we want to use an Irish name. We live in the U.K. So far we both really like Ailish.

I agree with you, Drama wrt pronunciation.

I think Ailish would be an acceptable spelling. There will always be people who are too stupid to get it right - their problem though, and no need to dumb anything down just so they won't be stretched a little.

I knew an Aylish when I was little.
Only one I've known since too. It's a pretty name.
Shame I don't have fond memories of the girl or I'd use it myself.
