Which do you prefer Faye or Esme (I don't know how to do the accent on my phone over the second e).

Esme.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 06/08/2017 23:31

Faye, by a million miles.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 06/08/2017 23:31

Both lovely. If I had to choose one I always hankered after Esmé (have boys though)!

Quite like Faye.
Absolutely love Esme.

Mclaren37 · 07/08/2017 07:33

Love Esme. I have a personal pet dislike of Faye. I've never understood this one, it sounds very 70's and dated to me. Like Linda or Lesley. Also a bit insubstantial, as in to be 'fey'. (Obvs just me though!)

SnarkOfTheThunderPants · 07/08/2017 07:41

Both. Sorry not helpful.

Happydays21 · 07/08/2017 07:44

Esme. I think
Faye sounds 70s old fashioned.

cece · 07/08/2017 07:45

I like both. I have an Esme. I didn't realise when I named her that there were two ways of saying it. If you can put up with people using the 'wrong' pronunciation then go for it. If not I love Faye too.

Pronounced Esme or Esmay? Love the first one, not the second one.

Faye is sweet.

ConstanceCraving · 07/08/2017 09:27

Esme.

Faye is plain and really dated.

Mrscropley · 07/08/2017 09:30

At the Dr the other day I saw 'Esmae' spelled like this!!

17caterpillars1mouse · 07/08/2017 09:35

I like Esmee but there are so many of them about recently and they never seem well behaved lol.

I really like Faye though think I prefer Fey and it's much more uncommon at the moment than Esmee

Thishatisnotmine · 07/08/2017 09:37

Faye! Lovely and timeless.

nancy75 · 07/08/2017 09:39

I hate the name Faye, it sounds drippy

squoosh · 07/08/2017 10:47

Faye is a bit 1980s, a bit Grange Hill.

squoosh · 07/08/2017 11:03

I really like Faye though think I prefer Fey

Definitely not Fey. Fey means a bit weird and otherworldly.

Faye. Esme is too twilight for me.
