What are your thoughts? I love the names Rose and Rosie but thought Rosemary might be more versatile as a full name.
I love the herb Rosemary and like the fact it's a 'flower' name without being too 'girly'.
But... is it too frumpy/middle aged?!

I've always really loved it! Really like Rose/Rosie too.

SuperBeagle · 04/08/2017 23:56

I have a crazy aunt named Rosemary. Absolutely batshit insane. So it just makes me think of her, and I don't like it. I do still like Rose though.

rider1975 · 04/08/2017 23:59

We have Rosanna and Rosina running in our family (Austrian roots) but I quite like Rosemary too

Buntysoven · 05/08/2017 01:18

Mother in law. Say no more!

ladybird69 · 05/08/2017 01:20

SuperBeagle · 05/08/2017 01:27

frid · 05/08/2017 01:37

Love Rosemary. It's my favourite Rose name

PsychoPumpkin · 05/08/2017 01:46

I like it!

CauliflowerSqueeze · 05/08/2017 02:16

I like the name, as long as your surname isn't West

Synecdoche · 05/08/2017 02:58

Very elegant and versatile.

Tattyjet · 05/08/2017 04:22

Thanks! Those mixed reactions pretty much sum up my feelings on the name too!

No Rose and Rosemary always have sinister connotations to me.

Flossy1978 · 05/08/2017 04:59

Rosemary's Baby...... Grin

It is a lovely name!

turtlecreek · 05/08/2017 05:01

Yep.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 05/08/2017 05:26

Love, love, love!
Would be on the list but we have an R surname and I don't like alliteration

wewentoutonsunday · 05/08/2017 05:35

I wanted Rose; DH didn't like it.

We compromised on Rosemary. She goes by shortened versions. We LOVE it.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 05/08/2017 09:41

It's lovely, makes me think of a beautiful sunny garden, full of flowers and herbs.

mondler · 05/08/2017 12:36

I'm debating this name too! I love Rose, hubby prefers Rosemary so I'll be watching with interest. It's definitely been growing on me lately.

smakibbfb · 05/08/2017 12:37

Lovely name - I know a Rosalie and that's lovely too.

Petalflowers · 05/08/2017 12:41

Lovely name, and due for a revival.

How about Rosamund as an alternative.

Edna1969 · 05/08/2017 12:44

DM is Rosemary I love it beautiful name well due for a revival.

EmmyInTheSticks · 05/08/2017 16:55

I like a lot of Rose names but not Rosemary - it's a bit frumpy. Rosanna, Rosalind, Roisin, Rosa are all better imo.

friedegs · 05/08/2017 20:41

I love it! I know a little one and it's far from frumpy.

Sophronia · 05/08/2017 22:00

I like it with Romy for short.

Yika · 06/08/2017 01:45

I love it. Due a comeback I think.
