Sorry, I have 3 threads on here at the mo.

Which is best in your opinion (and why)?

Meg Kathryn

Rose Kathryn
Rose Margaret

Thanks

Rose Kathryn

I find Meg ugly and heavy. May is a very popular bleuh middle name. Rose is timeless .

SuperBeagle · 03/08/2017 22:21

Rose Kathryn.

But I prefer the spelling Catherine or Katherine.

Don't mind Rose Margaret either.

Pemba · 03/08/2017 22:25

Agree with the above, Rose Kathryn is the best combination, but prefer other spellings like Catherine/Katherine/Katharine. But maybe Kathryn is a family name or something like that?

Meg is quite nice, but doesn't seem like a complete name, and I find Margaret still has a 'middle-aged' vibe. (Those most actual middle aged women now are called things like Claire and Sarah!)

Rose Kathryn

Rose Kathryn is lovely

Thanks for the replies. Kathryn is a family name and will be spelt this way. But I appreciate all comments so I can pre-empt what people might think on announcement!

Rose Kathryn is lovely.

Another vote for Rose Kathryn.

DramaAlpaca · 03/08/2017 23:10

I love Rose Kathryn.

I find Meg quite hard sounding, and it's a nickname to me rather than a complete name. May is everywhere these days. Margaret isn't my style, but it's OK as a middle name.

Rose is just lovely, and I like that spelling of Kathryn as it's a family name for me too.

Justgivemesomepeace · 03/08/2017 23:11

Rose Kathryn then Meg Kathryn

Meg Kathryn. I love the name Meg, it works for both a small child and an adult IMO. Not as popular as Rose. But, I love the name Rose too, so my second choice would be Rose Kathryn.

May Kathryn sounds wrong to my ears even though I like both names separately.

Imnotatypicalsausage · 03/08/2017 23:36

Megan Kathryn?

Sophronia · 04/08/2017 01:12

Rose Kathryn. Rose Margaret is nice too.

pilates · 04/08/2017 02:05

Rose Kathryn

Fridgedooropen · 04/08/2017 02:20

Rose Kathryn, Rose Margaret as second choice.

ColdstreamTuckett · 04/08/2017 02:30

How about Margaret Kathryn? And you can call her Peggy! squeals

17caterpillars1mouse · 04/08/2017 06:50

Rose Margaret

Mrsknackered · 04/08/2017 08:23

I love them all!
I think Meg.
I don't see it as clunky at all.
Rose would be my least favourite just because I know so many.

ConstanceCraving · 04/08/2017 08:27

Meg is sweet.

Chaffinch4 · 04/08/2017 09:31

Breaking the mould and voting for May! Beautiful name, very underused as a first name. Sounds lovely with Kathryn too.

MammieBear · 04/08/2017 09:45

Rose Margaret by Miles! Don't like nicknames as first names (unless full name on bc) I feel it limits the child if they don't like it having a full name gives more options. That being said Megan Rose is sweet, Katherine gives the option of Katie and Katie Rose is a lovely combo too. All the best remember don't take people's opinions too seriously it's your choice at the end of the day I'm sure your baby's name will be perfect to you and your family.Flowers
