Names like Matilda?

I love the name Matilda. However we are set on using Alice as a middle name after dgm and our surname begins with a D. Could I have those initials?! Not keen on 2 middle names but can't think of a name I like as much. Quite like Tabitha but dh not so keen. Thanks!

I'd suggest staying away from those initials personally, but if you're only liking those names use them how often do we say full names anyway. Ask yourself what drew you to those names and then apply that for finding similar for eg it's in literature so you could think of other books / characters you like. I think of:

I have a Harriet Matilda, so Matilda Harriet goes nicely.
I wouldn't give her the initials M.A.D.

How about Alice as a first name to avoid the initials, but call her Matilda in everyday life. My uncle uses his middle name as a nickname like that

Haha no i wont give her mad as initials. Usually i really don't care about initials but even I think it's bad! Love Harriet and Jemima. Also really like Rosie but am one of those people who don't like to give a nn as the only option and not in love with the full names so much - probably like Rose or Rosalind the most.

Oh and love Lydia. Is LAD okay?!

If you love Matilda you should use it.
