Help with boy's name

So I already have three children, Luke, Anna and Cory, and am expecting another boy. Only problem is, I'm stuck with names. I'd like one a little more unusual, while still 'going' with my existing children's names, if that makes sense. It also has to be pronounced roughly how it's spelt- annoying childhood spent correcting pronunciations!

I like Ezra, Francis and Lawrence, but don't think they go too well with the others'. I like when children's names flow nicely, and don't want DS to feel out of place. Interested to hear your thoughts.

I have a Luke, and my other boy choices were Daniel and Ben. Not sure if they "go" but I really liked them together x

Leeds2 · 30/07/2017 16:06

Gareth.
Nathan.
Jonah.

ALemonyPea · 30/07/2017 16:07

James flows really nice with the three toy have already.

Alexander,
Oliver,
Caleb

I think names "going together" can be quite subjective. For example, I wouldn't say that Cory goes with Anna & Luke. All nice names, I'm not criticising them in any way - but one person's idea of names "going together" may not be another's.

If I was looking for name to match Luke & Anna, I'd think of;

Jack
Sam
Ben
James
Harry
Oliver

.....or if I was looking for a name to go with Cory, I'd think about;

Dylan
Rhys
Ryan
Liam
Callum
Harvey

ObviousChild · 30/07/2017 17:13

Oh please pick Francis. I love that name and wanted to name our second boy Francis but dh wasn't keen. I think it's so lovely.

Cellardoor23 · 30/07/2017 17:17

I like Francis and Ezra. My DS's middle name is Francis. Frank/Frankie for short?

I also like Jonah and Harry. Love Hamish too. Edward?

AdaColeman · 30/07/2017 17:18

I like Lawrence very much from your list.

Once the children have reached their teens they won't be spending much time together, and you will rarely have to introduce them as a "sib- set" so I would give them a name you love rather than worry about matching names, which is very subjective in any case.

WhiteCaribou · 30/07/2017 17:19

My son is Kit. I love the name, it's short and easy to spell, can't be shortened, it's unusual but there are a few around. It's still my favourite boy's name.

Mus1Cal · 30/07/2017 17:38

I especially like Ben (or Benji/Benjy/Benjamin), James (nn Jem? Loved that since I first read to kill a mockingbird), Jude (Beatles fan here) and Kit, but I do like lots from your lists. Not so keen on the older ones (Edward is lovely but not really for me, and don't like names such as Gareth). Names like Jonah and Caleb are quite popular at the moment, and although I do have an Anna (family name) I'd rather ds isn't one of many in his class.

As for names going together, I do agree it is very subjective and Luke, Anna and Cory don't go together that well. Perhaps considering Doris?

Also really like Ryan, although I'd probably end up calling him Rye and would worry about people thinking of the bread?
