Middle name for a boy

Currently expecting baby boy number 2 well over half way through the pregnancy and seriously thinking about names, we are going to call him Murphy, but are struggling to find a middle name, I know we don't need one but we would like him to have one.

I always think Alexander goes with nearly everything as a middle name.

As Murphy is quite an unusual name, maybe something more run-of-the-mill like Samuel or Daniel? I often find that middle names are for sentimental reasons (a grandparent's name for example) or something "out there".
