I absolutely love this name! Don't know any presently no, not that popular round here.

QuitMoaning · 24/07/2017 21:10

I love it but my surname sounds like a herb if you say it quickly so it would sound like a variety (think 'Summer Basil', same concept but not basil).

Normandy144 · 24/07/2017 21:11

There are two in my DDs class, so quite popular but until knowing those two, I'd only known an adult Summer.

Janika · 24/07/2017 21:12

How about Sol?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 24/07/2017 21:27

❤️ Summer.

Beeziekn33ze · 24/07/2017 21:29

A light, happy name.
I also love Autumn as a name.

I think it sounds awful in my Australian accent - "summa".

In principle, I like it and the association with the season, but in actuality I just think it sounds bad.

Epipgab · 25/07/2017 01:00

It's a lovely name Smile

I sighed a little bit with how lovely that name actually is and slightly wish I'd thought of it for one of my girls. Could also be that I'm struggling with a Southern Hemisphere winter. Grin

MelinaMercury · 25/07/2017 13:33

I like it.

I know 5 ranging from 2 to 9 years so it is quite popular here (NE Scotland).

RiverTam · 25/07/2017 13:35

Super an Aussie friend of a friend called her Dd this - spelt Summah. Which sounds unbearable gormless to me!

I do like the name though!

Neoflex · 25/07/2017 13:58

Ha *QuitMoaning is your last name Thyme?

bridgetreilly · 25/07/2017 20:39

I'm not a fan, tbh. I think it will be very dated soon. Can't see it becoming a classic.

ifigoup · 25/07/2017 20:41

I know a 1-year-old Summer. I've always liked it as a name but must admit I was surprised to see it in a baby.

GreenTulips · 25/07/2017 20:50

Strange?

Joeybee · 25/07/2017 23:14

Love this name. I'd use it if I could convince DH! I don't know any Summers or know of any. I think it's a good name because it conjures up ideas of fun and playfulness and joy. It could totally work on a baby, child and woman. I think it's a great name and totally underused.

HorridHenrietta23 · 25/07/2017 23:54

Middle names:
Summer Rose
Summer Grace
Summer Anne
Summer Brooke
Summer Belle
Summer Hope
Summer Faye

One syllable girly names seem to well with Summer.
