Please help. Can't choose baby girl name.

Please help. Only a week to go until our baby girl arrives and we aren't settled on a name yet!

Sorry...I scrolled past too quickly, and didn't spot you'd already mentioned Mrs Hemingway 9 hrs ago!

Really like both - as well as Hemingway's wife, there is Hadley Freeman UK/ American journalist whom I like (used to write for The Guardian I think).

Prefer Halle spelt the way I've just done. Although I have heard people mispronounce that to "hall" just elongate the "a" sound??

I prefer Hadley. It's striking. It doesnt sound too masculine to me.

If I had to pick between those two, I'd go with Hallie. Simply because Hadley to me is either a surname or a boy's name in the same vein as Bradley and Chad.

Oh I kind of hate you for getting a Hadley. It's one of my favourite girls names. I had a boy but even if he had been a girl DP wasn't keen. A million votes for Hadley from me.

Hadley is a new one to me but now that I've read up on its heritage, I like it. It does sound masculine if you're not used to it though. It's a much stronger name than Hallie.

I really like Hallie.

Hallie is the name of Bernadette and Howard's baby in Big Bang Theory.
