What do you think about Michael with Mick/Mickey as a shortening and Donna

So many twins on MN!

Mick and Donna? Hell yes.

RiverTam · 16/07/2017 20:35

Really don't like. Michael is a nice name but Mickey and Mick are just awful. Donna is ok but the whole thing makes them sound like some kind of kids' duo from 80s TV.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 16/07/2017 20:39

Love Michael and Mick, not Donna though.

bridgetreilly · 16/07/2017 20:39

I don't like Donna, I'm afraid. It's a very dated name now - 1970s and 1980s.

I do like Michael and Mick or Mickey.

Ropsleybunny · 16/07/2017 20:40

Michael is nice, with Mike for short. I don't like Donna.

numbmum83 · 16/07/2017 20:42

I think there are some nicer names out there , I don't like either (and my DS's middle name is Michael ! )

Sophronia · 16/07/2017 23:37

Donna is quite dated. Love Michael though.

ConstanceCraving · 16/07/2017 23:39

I was joking 🙃 as I presumed the OP was!

Mrsknackered · 16/07/2017 23:57

Shame they're not twin girls, Stella and Donna is a great combo.

wrinkleseverywhere · 17/07/2017 00:08

I prefer Mickey and Daffy. Or you could have Minnie & Donald.

Cami12 · 17/07/2017 04:57

Um, honestly both are a long way from my taste. I would be really unhappy to be called Donna personally.

Pennywhistle · 17/07/2017 05:34

Ignore everyone else.

Do you and your OH like them?
Do they go well with the surname?
Are potential initials ok?

They pass my test for twins:
Don't alliterate
Don't rhyme
Don't merge together
Don't "match"

Having twins is awesome. Many congratulations! Flowers

Sorry they are quite dated names (70's) spring to mind.

Have you any others?
