What do people think? DD2 was due yesterday-and we are still undecided. Her big sister is an Ella. Second name will be Alice.

Surely its Phoebo for a boy (Friends fan😆)

Phoebe is definitely on our list for a girl. I love it and am only uncertain because my ds is Felix and I wonder if Felix and Phoebe sounds a bit 'matchy.' We would also nn to Fifi, I think (which maybe makes the matchyness worse Sad).

Phoebus for a boy.
Adore the name Phoebe - Shining moon
Goes well with Alice too

OlafLovesAnna · 14/07/2017 11:50

I love it. I think Hebe and Hester have the same sort of 'feel'

FellOutOfBed2wice · 14/07/2017 11:53

It was on our list, and we have an Ella so I think we have similar taste. Other names on our list were.... Esther, Jessica, Edie, Sadie, Stella.

Flofferton · 14/07/2017 11:54

I like Hebe but you'd spend your life saying 'no not Phoebe, HEBE. Yes, Hebe. H-E-B-E. Yeah it does sound very like Phoebe'.

Flofferton · 14/07/2017 11:55

And the heebie-jeebie thing too I suppose.

Actually, I've just gone off Hebe Grin

lottieandmia · 14/07/2017 11:55

I think it's a good name.

rainbowduck · 14/07/2017 11:56

I am not keen. Makes me think of spooky things.

rainbowduck · 14/07/2017 11:57

I do however, love the name Alice!

StillSmallVoice · 14/07/2017 12:09

I have a Phoebe, so obviously I think it is a lovely name. She's in her late twenties, and it was quite unusual then. However, she calls herself 'Pheebs', which is awful IMO, and she has spent a lifetime explaining to people that it isn't spelt 'Pheobe'.

Glumglowworm · 14/07/2017 13:03

I really like it

MikeUniformMike · 14/07/2017 14:43

I love it. I think Fi or Phee as a shortened form - I'm not keen on Feebs.

Bubblesoup · 14/07/2017 15:12

I love it! And Phoebe Alice is lovely.

Chatoyant · 14/07/2017 22:24

My phoebe is nicknamed Bee 🐝

DrablittleCrab · 14/07/2017 22:31

Exercisejunkieforlife Snap! I also have a Phoebe Ann, lovely name!

I dislike Phoebs as a nickname. I didn't before she was born but it now grates on me if someone calls her that. If I shorten it I tend to go for Bebe or i lengthen it to Phoebebe.

People WILL keep spelling it Pheobe though dad's keyworker.

Mollie85 · 15/07/2017 09:25

I love it. I love it's meaning, the way it's written and the way it sounds. When I was 11 I wanted a Phoebe Luna "bright, shining moon" as I was madly into astrology, Greek mythology and suns and stars were the big trend, etc. (this could be why I only had two friends Blush )
Fast forward 26 years and I still love both names.
Alice is also a lovely name, it "sparkles".
