I've loved the name Cecilia ever since reading Atonement! I also love that she is the patron saint of music. DH thinks it's too repetitive on the 's' sound, which I suppose I can see. What do you think? I also like Cece and Celie/Celia as nicknames.
Someone just informed me that baby's due date is Saint Cecilia's day! Seems like fate? Do you like this name?

DD's name, Cecie for short. Obviously I love it and it moves well within countries IYSWIM.

For example I don't live in the UK.

Definitely fate. And not very common, yet not unheard of!

I like it, but prefer Cecily. Love the shortenings too. It does sound like fate - use it!

I like it, and I actually like the connotations with the song, which is about the saint and muse, rather than a woman.

My Mum and Gran's name, they were both known as Celia.
For that reason it just sounds very dated to me.

I really liked it when pregnant with DD2, just put me off that its a bit of a mouthful especially with my long surname. I also like celeste which I think is another form of the name x
