I love Maggie.

NuffSaidSam · 08/07/2017 22:11

I like all of them.

Penelope is lovely, but I think it's on the rise popularity wise. There are a few thread here at the moment where Penelope is on the shortlist. It was outside the top 100 a couple of years ago.

Maggie - sweet, but Simpsons maybe. I don't like Daisy and Maggie together, too many 'ee' sounds.

Grace - lovely

Isla - goes well with Daisy, but very popular, top 3 I think.

Lila -pretty and goes well with Daisy I think. Not too popular, although there are loads of Isla's and Lily's and Lila is very much in that family.

I'd go with Grace.

Sophronia · 08/07/2017 22:15

I like Lila and Grace

WanderingTrolley1 · 08/07/2017 22:17

Penelope or Grace.

BertrandRussell · 08/07/2017 22:20

Margaret shortened to Maggie. Then you/she can have Meg, if you like. Or Peggy.

SloeGinRocks · 08/07/2017 22:21

I love Grace.
Isla doesn't sound modern to me.

BertrandRussell · 08/07/2017 22:21

But Grace is lovely. Not that I'm biased or anything. And it was very unusual when I used it!

glitterlips1 · 08/07/2017 22:25

Maggie and Grace for me. I think Maggie is sweet.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 08/07/2017 22:26

Are you pronouncing it Leela or Lyla?

Mammatron · 08/07/2017 22:28

I love the name Maggie!

GinIsIn · 08/07/2017 22:28

I wouldn't have Maggie as Maggie and Daisy are actually the same name, believe it or not. They're both versions of Margaret. (Marguerite is the French for Daisy, which is how the flower comes to be a name....)

Mrsknackered · 08/07/2017 22:30

Bertrand when was Grace unusual? I'm not being rude, I love it but just wondered when it wasn't considered popular.

Mrsknackered · 08/07/2017 22:31

I like Maggie, Grace and Lila.
I think Maggie just tops it though.

SimplyNigella · 08/07/2017 22:33

All lovely but my favourites are Maggie and Lila.

FizzyCherry · 08/07/2017 22:36

I think I would choose Grace if I already had a Daisy, they seem to fit together well.

There's none I don't like, but I would maybe shorten Penelope to Penny as it's a bit "younger", I think, and easier to say, and it would give her options when she's older.

Funnily enough, even though Daisy is an "old fashioned " name, as in it's been around for hundreds of years, I think it's quite modern and most Daisies I've met have been quite trendy. So Isla and Lila wouldn't clash awfullly.

FaFoutis · 08/07/2017 22:38

I like Grace best.

Bobbiepin · 08/07/2017 22:41

I teach a Daisy who has a little sister named Maggie. Their older sister is Ruby if that helps at all

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/07/2017 22:44

I think Maggie.

pilates · 08/07/2017 22:57

Grace

SuperBeagle · 08/07/2017 23:08

As a PP said, Maggie and Daisy are essentially "the same" name. Both are diminutives/shortenings of Margaret. So I wouldn't have a Maggie and a Daisy.

I like Grace and Lila best with Daisy. I like Penelope too, but not sure it "goes" as well with Daisy, if that's something you're concerned about.

Twinkletwinkle4 · 08/07/2017 23:11

I am leaning more towards Penelope but I am concerned it doesn't go aswell as a pairing?!

GinIsIn · 08/07/2017 23:19

Penny and Daisy is lovely.

bridgetreilly · 08/07/2017 23:30

You don't need names that go together. They are separate people. Penelope is lovely and if you like it, use it.

Twinkletwinkle4 · 08/07/2017 23:49

Good point to the above!!

Yes, to Penny and Daisy.
