Yay or nay?
And if yay, what would work as a middle name?

I LOVE it!! I wanted it for my girls originally but then chose Irish names at the last minute!! I would have pronounced it Ah-liss-ah, but I have heard it pronounced Ah-lee-sah....both are equally gorgeous I think!!!

Hell. Yes.

I like Alicia too but thought that's more likely to be pronounced Aleesha, which I don't like. I like that Alyssa can be Ali/Alice/Lissa too.

My DSIL has chosrn Alyssa Mary which is a family name but I think sounds lovely

Bubblesoup · 07/07/2017 01:08

Lovely!

I'd go for a single syllable and more simple mn to balance it out :-

Alyssa Jane
Alyssa Claire
Alyssa Sian
Alyssa Eve

Sophronia · 07/07/2017 01:41

Lovely!

georgieforgie · 07/07/2017 07:01

I like Alyssa Eve. I've always liked Beth as a middle name but then it sounds like a weird version of Elizabeth Grin

How about:

Alyssa Pearl
Alyssa Skye
Alyssa Jade?

I knew an Alyssa when I was little (around 50 years ago Blush. She's the only Alyssa I've ever come across.. I've always thought it's a beautiful name. Her sister was called Theda. Also not a name I've heard of since.

I don't like it much. Very very very girly and a bit twee. Prefer Alicia.

❤️ Alyssa, so pretty, I know a little Lyssi.
