I don't know any Vincent's so I'm really not sure about it. DH loves it and thinks he'll be a cheeky chap probably with the nickname Vinnie, but I'm not 100% because an old work colleague's dog was Vinnie! Haha

LOVE it and it was one of my top two if I'd had boys. Vinnie OR Vincent are lovely. It's boyish and fun and yet manly....so perfect for a little boy and a grown man.

FfionFlorist · 05/07/2017 15:26

Sorry don't like it very much, still an old man's name to me like Keith or Raymond.

hippoesque · 05/07/2017 15:42

I loved it. Only reason we didn't call any of ours Vincent was because DH's first grown up car was affectionately known as Vinny

IHaveACrapCat · 05/07/2017 17:16

I know one little Vincent (vinnie) and I just don't really like it (although I'd NEVER let on IRL).

It's very much in the same league as Gary or Kenneth for me.

MikeUniformMike · 05/07/2017 17:19

Vinny is fine but Vince is right there with Keith I'm afraid.
I quite like Raymond and Gary.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 05/07/2017 17:21

Very nice, love Vinnie.

toffeeboffin · 05/07/2017 17:24

I love it!

MyBootsAreMuddy · 05/07/2017 17:26

MaroonPencil · 05/07/2017 17:27

Starry, starry night

londonfeather · 05/07/2017 17:29

Reminds me of Vincent Vega

GinIsIn · 05/07/2017 17:31

Starry, starry night was my first thought too. Which is unfortunate considering it's about suicide...

Roughlyroughrough · 05/07/2017 17:31

Old man's name.

BasinHaircut · 05/07/2017 17:33

I like it.

MrsChopper · 05/07/2017 17:33

Old man's name

Yes, and that's exactly why I love it! DS also has an old man's name :)

Abetes · 05/07/2017 17:34

Hate it. Sorry

JonSnowIsMyKing · 05/07/2017 17:38

I know one Vincent, man, creative and quirky really suits his name.
And I know a child vinnie. Bit of a thug, parents are always putting pictures up on FB of him sticking his fingers up at the camera or making a fist, always in polo tops with collar up type child.
Love Vincent can't shake that image of vinnie

ScarletSienna · 05/07/2017 17:40

I'm not keen on the 'old man name' trend - I even dislike those that are popular like Arthur and Stanley.
I think Vincent is worse than those though-it's more like Norman, Nigel and Kevin.

DramaAlpaca · 05/07/2017 17:42

It's one of the nicer 'old man' names, but it's not my style.

MumBod · 05/07/2017 18:51

My DP is called Vincent.

I love Vincent. Vince - not so much.

Vinnie - never.

Vincent = Van Gogh.

Vince = Just Good Friends.

Vinnie = Mafia.

Sophronia · 05/07/2017 20:49

I really like it, especially Vinny.
