Names for identical girl triplets?

So I wouldn't usually ask, but I'm due to deliver my triplets by c-section in 10 days and DH and I still don't have names picked out. We like traditional (and in this case, girly) names and already have a 3 year old son named Finlay Edward. We've both decided on Clara Genevieve for one of the girls and we also like April Rose because it is very fresh and pretty sounding. For the third girl I like Charlotte Elizabeth but DH thinks it's too similar to Clara. Any suggestions?

I agree with dh. I think it's even more important with multiples to give them separate identities through their names. I knew of a family of identical quadruplets whose names all began with the same letter Sad

Marasol
Marissa
Isobel
Eleanor

Or turn it round and have Elizabeth Charlotte?

alphajuliet123 · 30/06/2017 00:29

Clara Genevieve
April Charlotte
Florence / Felicity Rose

Ohmyfuck · 30/06/2017 00:36

Clara, April and Felicity

Ohmyfuck · 30/06/2017 00:37

Oh, how funny! I just saw the post above mentions Felicity too! :-D

Amber

How about a recurrent letter theme such as 'oe' with different sounds, eg
Chloe
Phoebe
Noelle
So, all have the same pairing of letters 'oe' but all names sound different so they are linked but individuals. So, same but different, iyswim? Congrats, btw! Smile

Emma Marie
Alice Elizabeth
Lucy Jessica
Isobel Elizabeth
Anna Amanda
Alexandra (anything)
Marie Charlotte.

Good luck on your triplets, I hope you have a lot of fun with them.

ShmooBooMoo · 30/06/2017 00:47

Oh, I see, but I'll still suggest:

Chloe Genevieve

Phoebe Rose

Noelle Elizabeth

How about:

Jennifer
Maria
Claire or Claire - Margaret

Rockingaround · 30/06/2017 00:55

Another vote for Felicity although I do like

Clara
April &
Meredith ("Merry" or "Edie" for nick names)

hophop333 · 30/06/2017 06:00

Whoa congratulations and good luck!!! I think for triplets it would be really sweet if the names matched a little or there was at least a common theme, otherwise it sounds disjointed and it's pretty special to have triplets.

Jooni · 30/06/2017 06:05

How about Violet instead of Charlotte? Similar sound/shape to me and goes nicely with Clara and April: Clara Genevieve, April Rose and Violet Elizabeth - lovely!

Massive congratulations btw OP Flowers

allegretto · 30/06/2017 06:05

They'll alreeady be special: they're identical triplets! Don't give them matching or similar names! How about Clara, April and:
Margaret
Edith
Elizabeth
Lucy
Lillian

I'd go with:

Clara Genevieve
April Elizabeth
Rosa Felicity

All first names are two syllables and all second names are four syllables. April Elizabeth flows better to me than April Rose which sounds like it could be a paint sample.

sunshineandrainbowsparkles · 30/06/2017 09:37

The only advice I can offer is don't choose names with the same initial. I have two very close in age that share the same first initial and I am forever calling them the wrong name! Confused
