One is 7, the other is 60 something and really horrible

I knew two, one of whom would be in 80s now and the other even older than that. It's a name we considered for our DDs but the shortening "Vi" always put me off.

My elderly neighbour was violet, its a beautiful name.

2 - DP and I both have friends with a DD called Violet. Both 2ish

I had a great aunty Vi who died some time ago and a 40 year old violet who is British asian- I don't know if her parents wanted an English name or this is a common name in India.

I know 4 - all 6 and under.
