Girl's name Vita - what do you think?

Mm. No. It sounds like a vitamin supplement or something.

How about:

Vera
Vani
Nora
Nola

I love it.

I've considered it a lot and personally wouldn't use it - but only because in my case it would look too obviously like homage to Vita Sackville-West, which isn't quite what I want to do. But if I wasn't someone so interested in early C20th lesbians, I don't think that would be an obvious connection.

I think it's beautiful.

sandgrown · 27/06/2017 06:11

We have a Vito in our family ( Italian) so I like it .

AngelaTwerkel · 27/06/2017 06:52

I really love it and wish I'd thought of it!

It sounds like the name of a margarine brand.

Yika · 27/06/2017 07:00

Lovely, I know one who is Vita short for Victoria.

SorrelSoup · 27/06/2017 07:00

Sackville-West here too.

Veronicat · 27/06/2017 07:04

My friends twins are called Vita and Lena.
I think they are lovely. They mean Life and Sunlight.

TravellingFleet · 27/06/2017 08:04

Vita Sackville-West - what's not to love?

You could have Vita and Orlando for a boy...

MiniMaxi · 27/06/2017 09:34

I like it. Met a baby Vida recently too.

Yes, I like it too.😀

PattyPenguin · 27/06/2017 09:46

Bret McKenzie (Flight of the Conchords) has a daughter called Vita. Mind you, he divides his time between NZ and the US, and the name might not be so remarkable in those places.

hophop333 · 27/06/2017 09:47

Nn for Vitamin?

OnionKnight · 27/06/2017 09:49

It reminds me of the Playstation Vita.

Meeep · 27/06/2017 09:53

I like it.

MrsMarigold · 27/06/2017 10:09

Vita Sackville-West was actually Victoria. Go for it.

TempsPerdu · 27/06/2017 10:11

Really like it - elegant and unusual but not weird. I know a lovely toddler Vita with very bookish parents!

DrSpin · 27/06/2017 10:14

My first thought was biotics.

Having been bullied at school for an unusual name if not do this, but if you love the name and want something unusual it's pretty and elegant.

Jooni · 27/06/2017 12:07

Wow, I wasn't expecting such a positive response Grin

Would you all know to pronounce "VEE-ta"? Bit worried it would be read as "VIE-ta" or "VIT-a" because of vitamin (overthinking?)

OP posts:
myboysnames · 27/06/2017 13:08

Veeta. I think most people would. It's just Vito with and A.
I like it, my sons middle name is Vito.

Jooni · 27/06/2017 13:21

Fab name myboys Smile

Vita as in vitamin or the second letter of the Greek alphabet? Confused

Scrumpernickel · 27/06/2017 13:52

I like it.
