My worry would be whether people stumble over how to pronounce it. Veego / Vygo.

Could be annoying for him in the long run.

Itsmytemporaryname · 24/06/2017 00:02

(I really like it though and congrats!)

Bobbins43 · 24/06/2017 00:04

Scourge of Carpathia, sorrow of Moldavia?

Hmmm.

Enidblyton1 · 24/06/2017 00:07

Love it.
DD has a boy in her class called Viggo (I think the Vigo spelling is more commonly a surname?)

Sophronia · 24/06/2017 00:24

I prefer Viggo

bridgetreilly · 24/06/2017 00:39

Sounds like a disease to me. Vitiligo.

Other suggestions:
Art
Nat
Quinn
Bay
Gus
Mack
Ray
Heath

zen1 · 24/06/2017 01:05

I would think he was named after the Kent village. What about Inigo?

Jooni · 24/06/2017 04:53

I've always seen it as Viggo. I quite like it.

Ivo or Ives
Jago
Miles
Hal
Asa
Joss
Leif or Liev
Otto
Rafe

Jooni · 24/06/2017 04:54

Oh and maybe Emil?

Out2pasture · 24/06/2017 04:56

Melstarrynight · 24/06/2017 05:54

ophiotaurus · 24/06/2017 07:33

I thought about ghostbusters as well

VintagePerfumista · 24/06/2017 07:35

I think about the town in Spain.

It goes with your other names, that's for sure.

I think most people would presume it was Viggo though, and you might get some Aragorn quips.

RiotAndAlarum · 24/06/2017 07:36

My children have just seen Ghostbusters, so that was on my mind, too! Sorry....

Bobbins43 · 24/06/2017 07:41

Ivor is LOVELY

Bobbins43 · 24/06/2017 07:42

Damn it, Ivo. Stupid autocorrect.

blahthisistoohard · 24/06/2017 08:33

Sounds like a nightclub

Joeybee · 24/06/2017 08:39

I like it, although would spell it Viggo.
I'm surprised it isn't more popular because there are quite a few short, snappy boys names popular right now - like Leo, Hugo, Arlo etc.
I think it's ace.

chumpchange · 24/06/2017 08:44

We nearly chose Viggo. I quite like it, no reason why not to.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 24/06/2017 09:24

Thanks everyone.
I meant to spell it Viggo it corrected it 🙄

Still unsure. I don't mind the Aragon quips (swoon)

I love Ivo that's a great name.
And Bay.

I adore Hal and Heath but sadly surname rules those one out.

Any other ideas would be really appreciated

There's a boy in my sons school called Vito. How about that?

RiverTam · 24/06/2017 10:35

Viggo Mortenson! Aragorn!!! What's not to like!

I like it, though not as much as Inez Joy which is beautiful!

SuperBeagle · 24/06/2017 10:44

I also think of Viggo Mortensen.

But I don't like the name.
