Leo is pretty short, I've not heard it shortened round here

Quartz2208 · 23/06/2017 22:18

I know 3 (Leo. Leonardis and Leopold) all Leo never Lee

Soslowmo · 23/06/2017 22:22

I know loads and they're all 'Leo'

Rioja123 · 23/06/2017 22:25

I know 3 born recently, seems to be very in at the moment.

oneplus2is3 · 23/06/2017 22:36

I know 4- all Leos

BelafonteRavenclaw · 23/06/2017 22:40

I know 2, both only known as Leo.

PotOfYoghurt · 23/06/2017 22:40

I know the most darling Leo. I know quite a few others and none of them have ever been called Lee.

blahthisistoohard · 24/06/2017 00:59

Really love the name Leo, I wanted a ds just so I could use this name! I don't know any personally, just a Leon, but I can't imagine it would get shortened to Lee!

BadToTheBone · 24/06/2017 01:24

I know 2 Leo's and a Leon, all late teens and never Lee. I like it

Fruitcocktail6 · 24/06/2017 01:27

My nephew is Leo and he's never been referred to as Lee

indigox · 24/06/2017 01:39

I know one, it's never shortened.

Susiethetortoiseshellcat · 24/06/2017 08:25

I've met loads at baby groups in the last year. All seem to be called Leo.

ColourfulOrangex · 24/06/2017 09:00

My cousin is Leo, never shortened to Lee

BillywigSting · 24/06/2017 09:03

I know two Leo's and they are both Leo not Lee. They're both really lovely boys too so I only have happy connections to that name and as such I love it! (if we ever have another boy Leo will certainly be on the list)

WhereTheFuckIsWonderWoman · 24/06/2017 09:05

My nephew is a Leo. It's never occurred to any of us that it might turn into Lee.

secretnutter · 24/06/2017 09:11

My DS1 is a Leo (Leonardo) it's never anything other than Leo, we love it, a little different but not too much so!! X

IsadoraQuagmire · 24/06/2017 15:32

My best friend is called Leo, he's 22. I don't think anyone's ever called him Lee (though I'd like to see his face if they tried!) Grin

squishysquirmy · 24/06/2017 15:36

I know one, a toddler, and he is always called Leo never Lee. He does receive an above average amount of lion themed presents though. Grin
Its a lovely name in mt opinion; a little bit unusual but not so unusual as to be weird.

Dixiestamp · 25/06/2017 19:38

My cat! Used it as I knew I wouldn't have any more children- I would have called a boy Leo, it's a lovely name.

BestIsWest · 25/06/2017 19:48

And my dog! We never call him Lee. Leonardo or Leopold sometimes.

RideOn · 25/06/2017 20:37

Yes and no they don't ever get Lee and I would never have connected it as a nn

OSETmum · 25/06/2017 20:41

I know lots, it's very popular at the moment. I'd never even made the connection between Leo and Lee.
