Really struggling to pick between Elliot and Noah...

Reasons I hate Elliot:
It will get El/Els/Elli at some point.
It will be spelt Elliott a lot.
Reasons I love Elliot:
It's more timeless.
It's less common.

And then Noah is just the opposites, so there are pros and cons to both!

I don't know how to pick Sad

My first thought is oh god not another bloody Noah.

So I vote Elliot purely for that reason.

I have an Elliot, no one shortens it, it's one of the reasons I like it. A good boy name without being too common!

littletwofeet · 21/06/2017 19:12

It doesn't sound like you really love either!

They are both very popular so as long as you don't mind that.

I love the name Elliot though.

One of my DC has a name that can only be spelt one way but people still spell it incorrectly and I am constantly having to spell it out. One of my other DC has a name that can be spelt two different ways and I rarely have to spell that out/correct it.

ElliotorNoah · 21/06/2017 19:16

@littletwofeet - you're so wrong. I love them both too much Grin I'm dreamt about my own little Elliot or Noah since I was 16 (and I'm using the same middle name I picked out back then Blush)

Haha!oh sorryGrinarrrr, that's lovely.
I think Elliot is a gorgeous name and El/Els isn't a bad shortening. If you can live with incorrect spellings on birthday cards, etc (everything like doctors/school will have the correct spelling).
What's the middle name?

ElliotorNoah · 21/06/2017 19:45

I would definitely pick Elliot!
I know an Elliot and nobody shortens his name

Sophronia · 21/06/2017 20:09

Elliot

ColourfulOrangex · 21/06/2017 20:53

I prefer Noah to Elliot but Noah is a lot more popular

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/06/2017 21:42
