Someone I know is calling their baby Hunter with the last name Childs am I the only one who thinks this is a bit weird?

Obviously their choice but they asked my opinion and I tried to be subtle that maybe it doesn't go with the surname but they didn't see the issue so wasn't sure if it was just me

It does sound a bit aggressive. Hunter is aggressive on it's own, let alone with that surname

Very bland character on The Next Step called Hunter. It's a North America thing.
Predator would make me uncomfortable but not Hunter
