Yes or no?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RelaxMax · 18/06/2017 21:18

The impaler.

RelaxMax · 18/06/2017 21:18

So it's a no from me sorry

allegretto · 18/06/2017 21:18

As a baby name? Obviously no, otherwise you would have the same name and that would be confusing....

SaltyMyDear · 18/06/2017 21:18

Are you Russian?

Do you mind vlad the impaler?

VerityHabitat · 18/06/2017 21:19

The impaler here too.

Sorry it's a no unless you are Russian and it's a typical name!

OrlandaFuriosa · 18/06/2017 21:19

Impaler or vodka? Or both?

Loyly · 18/06/2017 21:21

No

missyB1 · 18/06/2017 21:21

No don't. My ds has a Vlad in his class and he is nicknamed "the impaler" Sad

tigerdriverII · 18/06/2017 21:21

The Impaler!

Floggingmolly · 18/06/2017 21:22

No

Shopkinsdoll · 18/06/2017 21:23

That's cruel

Elledouble · 18/06/2017 21:23

Presumably short for Vladimir? Volodya is the traditional pet version, which is cuter imo.

VerityHabitat · 18/06/2017 21:44

Are there other diminutives for Vladimir other than Vlad?

I like Volodya as well.

SuperBeagle · 18/06/2017 21:47

The Impaler
Putin
Lenin

Terrible associations all around.

Effendi · 18/06/2017 21:48

I know a Vlad.
Short for Vladimiros.
A Greek name.

SmilingButClueless · 18/06/2017 21:49

I really wouldn't go for that name if the child is going to live in the UK, because of the connotations that everyone else has pointed out.

I'd also be a bit hesitant about Vladimir; the first association I thought of was Putin, which may or may not be what you're going for...

BossyBitch · 18/06/2017 21:50

Um ... just no!

Bythebeach · 18/06/2017 21:51

It's unfortunate but I saw the thread title and thought 'The Impaler'. Too negative an association for me I'm afraid.

ABitOTT · 18/06/2017 21:52

Absolutely no!

EssentialHummus · 18/06/2017 21:53

Russian DH here... I wouldn't.

sonlypuppyfat · 18/06/2017 21:54

Go on I dare you

AveEldon · 18/06/2017 21:55

I love it!

NataliaOsipova · 18/06/2017 21:56

The Impaler here too....sorry!

Rach5l · 18/06/2017 22:05

Brilliant love it Grin

RandomlyGenerated · 18/06/2017 23:03

For an impala - yes.
