She's 28 hours old to be exact Wink and thought one would just pop out when we met her but we were wrong Grin

Our list:

  • Autumn (she was conceived in Autumn - which is a great connection for the name! As I suppose some people think it's twee if born and some people don't get it if not!)
  • Daisy
  • Grace
  • Ivy (it's funny, I love the sound and meaning but hate the way it looks!)
  • Madison (love Maddie and love this name but lots of people hate it SadSad not keen on Madeleine or just Maddie)
  • Olivia (I know the others could be considered popular, but Olivia is taking it to a whole new level!)
  • Violet

Thank you ❤️

Congratulations on your little girl!

I vote Ivy, Violet or Daisy!

Your other names are nice though, although I personally don't like Madison or Autumn.

Any chance of a photo to help with suggestions? Wink

Hulababy · 18/06/2017 15:15

My order of preference would be: Daisy Olivia Grace Autumn Violet Ivy Madison, though I do like Maddie

bluechameleon · 18/06/2017 15:17

I like Ivy best, then Violet. Olivia is also nice. Daisy is a bit twee for me, not keen on Maddison or Autumn. Grace is ok.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 18/06/2017 15:17

Daisy Grace is lovely, very pretty.

MakeItStopNeville · 18/06/2017 15:20

I love the name Autumn. In fact I love all the seasonal names. Choose Autumn! Grin

DaddyfingerAnnihilation · 18/06/2017 15:24

Violet or Ivy

EspressoPatronum · 18/06/2017 15:27

I like Maddison Violet and Grace

troodiedoo · 18/06/2017 15:32

They are all lovely. Can we have a clue on your surname please?

TooHotWishingForWinter · 18/06/2017 15:44

Surname is Roselle

You asked for opinions, it's no use getting upset when you get them.

Hothothotsummer · 18/06/2017 15:47

Lovely names apart from Ivy and Violet which for some reason are popular on here.

TooHotWishingForWinter · 18/06/2017 15:47

I'm not upset at all?? 😂 chavvy is an offensive term though. Lots of people have said they don't like certain names and I'm not upset at all. However, chavvy is rude.

OP posts:
purplecoathanger · 18/06/2017 15:50

I think Madison sounds chavy. Who am I am being rude to? It's just an opinion FFS. Get over it.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 18/06/2017 15:52

Hmm your surname is lovely but I think rules out flowery / nature names like Autumn, ivy or violet. Grace also no with that surname. Sorry! Olivia or Madison go well with the surname

TooHotWishingForWinter · 18/06/2017 15:52

Chavvy is a rude term. It's not rocket science. Stop being such a snob.

TooHotWishingForWinter · 18/06/2017 15:53

Thanks @TheGrumpySquirrel I did wonder that Smile

purplecoathanger · 18/06/2017 15:53

My opinion is that it sounds chavy but if you want to call your child Madison it is entirely up to you. You've asked for opinions, are you sure you want them?

TooHotWishingForWinter · 18/06/2017 15:55

@purplecoathanger clearly you aren't even bothering to read my replies about the word chavvy Grin nevermind.

BikeRunSki · 18/06/2017 15:57

Not Grace, it's a hard cross to bear if you are ungainly and clumsy.

BakerBear · 18/06/2017 15:58

I think Olivia and Violet go best with your surname

Pemba · 18/06/2017 15:59

Daisy or Olivia are lovely.

Dislike Ivy, Violet, Madison.

blueskyinmarch · 18/06/2017 16:00

I think I am very critical sometimes of the names under consideration on these threads but I have to say I like all your options OP. I do ready like Olivia (I wanted it for DD2 and was vetoed) and I love Grace (DS2s middle name)!

mangomama91 · 18/06/2017 16:00

Violet is my youngest daughter's middle name so I chose violet 😃

purplecoathanger · 18/06/2017 16:02

I am reading your replies. You are perfectly entitled to your opinion and I completely respect that. My opinion is that Madison sounds chavy.

chavy - Source: Urban Dictionary
(British Origin) A person who thinks they are really hard, and walk round wearing Donnay and skin tight jeans, and also tuck their socks into their shoes. Grin

christmashope · 18/06/2017 16:03

I love autumn
Like Olivia too
Not so keen on madison or ivy
Grace is ok
Don't like violet
Daisy is very popular
