Is it better than Madeleine/Maddie?

I'm really struggling with it. I adore it, but no one IRL like it Grin

I like it but not for a baby born in Spring/Summer/Winter ...

Breezy1985 · 17/06/2017 22:05

I love it but I'm biased ;)

AutumnAsAName · 17/06/2017 22:05

Baby will be born in Autumn Grin

@Breezy1985 how old is your one!? Is it hard to think of as her name?? I just really love it but I'm struggling.

Then I'd say, go for it!

ScouseBird8364 · 17/06/2017 22:10

I LOVE that name, but hate the name Maddie Confused Soz! x

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/06/2017 22:10

Autumn is really lovely.

SuperBeagle · 17/06/2017 22:14

Madeleine is infinitely better.

Madeleine is a timeless name; Autumn is not.

Breezy1985 · 17/06/2017 22:17

She's 6 and absolutely suits her name, she was born in Autumn too :)

grasspigeons · 17/06/2017 22:18

I think it's a lovely name

WindwardCircle · 17/06/2017 22:19

I like it, but my mum was quite horrified when she met a little girl named autumn recently. My DM hates the dark months with a passion (I suspect she has SAD but won't actually deal with it), and she really couldn't get her head around the idea of a lovely little girl being named after something she considers dark, dank and depressing. Although I don't agree with her I do get her point.

chinlop · 17/06/2017 22:20

I think I like it.

I wouldn't care when baby was born though. I've met Summers, Aprils and Mays in my life and never even thought about when they were born.

Just like I don't wonder if people called Rose were born in the garden.

Sophronia · 17/06/2017 22:21

It's quite pretty.

eurochick · 17/06/2017 22:37

I love it.

MollyHuaCha · 18/06/2017 07:36

Nice

hashtagcurious · 18/06/2017 07:42

Love Autumn. I like Maddie too 😁 x

ColourfulOrangex · 18/06/2017 07:52

Autumn is lovely if an autumn baby :)

I know a Holly who is born in summer, I automatically think winter and Christmas when I hear her name though

bridgetreilly · 18/06/2017 10:01

Madeleine is such a lovely name.

And Autumn... isn't.

CrownOfPrawns · 18/06/2017 16:43

It doesn't sound like a name to me. It's not even a surname, is it, though the other season words are.

countycouncil · 18/06/2017 16:56

Heard a kid being called 'Autumn' in the playground the other day and I immediately thought how lovely it was. Who doesn't like autumn!! Go for it.

Xanadu44 · 18/06/2017 17:00

I like it! AND ultimately it's up to your and your DP. If you love it you should use it.

RaeSkywalker · 18/06/2017 17:08

I like it.

Calmisthemantra · 18/06/2017 17:21

I love it and it's my favourite season. We're using it as a middle name but only because I have another name I love more as the first name

Rockandrollwithit · 18/06/2017 17:31

I love it, we had it on our list but baby is going to be a boy.

AlcoholandIrony · 18/06/2017 17:42

Love both name
