Alexander, Max or...

We are having a baby of unknown sex any day now (Hmm hurry baby). The only boys names we can agree on are Max and Alexander. I also like Leon, Joel, Joss. DH really likes Ethan but I don't like it enough.

Ideally I would have liked something on par with D the awesome name we gave DS: not top 100 but a traditional / recognisable name everyone can spell.

It absolutely can't be a surname name (reasons).

I like Max.

Thanks guys, any more suggestions you think we might both like would be welcome as ideally I'd like to have a slightly longer shortlist and both are more popular than I would have liked.

I really like your other possible names Leon, Joel and Joss. Really not a fan of Alexander, but then I don't normally like longer names that will inevitably be shortened so maybe that's why.

We have a Max.

Our other possibilities were Aidan and Edward. I also liked Rex and Magnus but DH was having none of it! I think Jesse is nice too but it didn't go with DD's name.
