We have managed to short list the below but would like to know your thoughts please or other suggestions. We have a 4 syllable surname so have been looking at shorter names. DH is Irish and favours Orla from the list below. Let me know what you think:

Orla
Iona
Eva
Claudia
Diana
Ines
Maria
Rosa

I love Iona.

Claudia and Rosa joint second.

Orla always changes itself to oral when I type it and that's what it makes me think of! Sorry op.

I've always loved Iona, just don't think I'd be brave enough to use it

mummytobemaybe · 16/06/2017 22:46

Orla, Eva and Rosa are my favourite

countycouncil · 16/06/2017 23:01

Fantastic list. I'd say Orla (once your accent lends itself to the name) or Claudia.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 16/06/2017 23:01

Ines Diana
Maria Ines

blahthisistoohard · 16/06/2017 23:30

What about Aoife as an alternative to Eva? I love that name but sadly we're not Irish enough to pull it off.

I like Rosa from your list as well

Ohmyfuck · 16/06/2017 23:52

Orla is a beautiful name. X

rhodes2015 · 17/06/2017 00:00

Orla is gorgeous!!

BlondeGinger · 17/06/2017 00:02

Ines and Claudia are my favourites (Ines is one of my all time favourites) but I think I like Diana as a middle name too.

squoosh · 17/06/2017 00:35

Orla sounds a bit strange when said by English people. I love Claudia from your list.

29Palms · 17/06/2017 01:58

Diana!
Classical and elegant. Never in or out of fashion, so it doesn't date.
