Johnny.

I can't stand Ted/Teddy.

CaipirinhasAllRound · 13/06/2017 22:11

We have a Jonny who is just Jonny not John. I love it
Don't like Teddy

Nospringflower · 13/06/2017 22:12

Johnny. Teddy sounds very babyish.

Although at least people are less likely to use other spellings for Teddy.

BlondeGinger · 13/06/2017 22:32

Teddy.

DramaAlpaca · 13/06/2017 22:33

Johnny

BBQueen · 13/06/2017 22:34

Johnny

Me4You · 13/06/2017 23:09

Johnny with John on BC.

I don't like Ted.

villainousbroodmare · 13/06/2017 23:11

Johnny / John.

NannyR · 13/06/2017 23:13

Johnny with John on BC definitely. Teddy sounds very young and cutesy and Ted on the BC is still a nickname.

UsaNayme · 13/06/2017 23:59

It's going to be your child's nickname, so I'm sure they'll get to choose if they prefer Jonny or Johnny.

I prefer Ted

SuperBeagle · 14/06/2017 00:19

Presumably Jonny would come from Jon/Jonathan, and Johnny would come from John.

EachandEveryone · 14/06/2017 00:25

I know a gorgeous Ted. Its a lovely name.

Pemba · 14/06/2017 02:34

John then. Teddy is babyish, OK for a toddler only, and Ted sounds unfinished if you won't put Edward on the BC. Quite like John actually, it's underused these days.

ScarletSienna · 14/06/2017 07:33

John/Johnny

I like Edward (I know you said no suggestions-sorry!) and Ted is ok as a diminutive of Edward but really dislike Teddy.

RickOShay · 14/06/2017 07:35

Johnny. Ds2 was nearly John.

sonlypuppyfat · 14/06/2017 07:59

I can't see how any great big hairy arsed bloke wouldn't love to be called Teddy! Please it's John or Edward
