My husband and I are expecting our baby soon and are struggling to agree on names!

The only one we can agree on begins with the letter B. I'm afraid with our surname (begins with H and rhymes with kind) we would be giving the poor child an unfortunate name on mail etc with the initial used e.g A.Smith
Are we overthinking it? Or should we steer clear of the letter B?

If start clear of B

I want to school with a Benjamin Dover though nm Ben so people do use names that are unfortunate for their children

Personally, I'd like to think I was above that bothering me, but having just said it out loud, afraid it does. but that's just me!

If you give us the list of the B names you like perhaps we can come up with alternatives?

I know a P. Enis which has been the bane of his life so I wouldn't.

We both like Benjamin for a boy.

My husband prefers traditional names, but a lot are already being used by family or close friends. Others I just don't like

I'm glad I asked. It's good to know it's not just us overthinking it. We do love Benjamin, but I guess it's not meant for us.
