Love it! It was my favourite choice but we had to abandon it as nobody could pronounce it where I live!

Sophronia · 31/05/2017 17:44

Love it!

Garnethair · 31/05/2017 17:46

Great name. Goes well with your first boy's excellent name too.

ScarletSienna · 31/05/2017 17:50

I really really dislike the name Arthur. I find it incredibly dreary sounding and just drab. It conjures up the image of wading slowly through murky, sludgy swamp water in the mist.

However, it is incredibly popular here and I know lots of under 3s with that name so I'm clearly in the minority!

ScarletSienna · 31/05/2017 17:51

Leo is a cheerful sounding name however! William is lovely too. Leo and Will go well together.

wheresthel1ght · 31/05/2017 17:55

I love the older traditional boys names, Arthur, henry, Harry were all firm favs

Moomins67 · 31/05/2017 17:58

Arthur is nice, I've know people say they'll use the nickname Artie. But I've never known an Arthur to actually go by Artie so who knows if they succeeded

MissisBee · 31/05/2017 18:02

My 4 week old Arthur is currently snoozing on my knee. He was 6wks early and in SCBU for a week - every single nurse and midwife we met loved his name, positively effusive about it

DramaAlpaca · 31/05/2017 18:05

I love Arthur.

I know one in his teens and one in his 90s and it suits both of them perfectly.

Rockaby · 31/05/2017 18:05

Lovely! One of my favourite names.

CleopatraTheCatLover · 31/05/2017 18:06

I love it, my ggf was an Arthur.

beela · 31/05/2017 18:06

Love it! Would have been one of our choices if dc2 had been a boy.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 31/05/2017 19:42

Very nice.

SealSong · 31/05/2017 19:46

Like it.

Jooni · 31/05/2017 20:02

Love Arthur and Arthur William is very handsome.

Jemimapuddleduk · 31/05/2017 20:07

Adore the name! It means bear so I think it works really well with Leo. My little Arthur is strong, energetic, loving and has risen to some very big challenges in his short life.

Buntysoven · 01/06/2017 00:26

Sorry but Im in the don't like it camp. Sounds stale and sour to me

chipsnmayo · 01/06/2017 04:27

I don't like it either, too old man for my liking, however that could be because my 80 something uncle is an Arthur.

GinIsIn · 01/06/2017 04:49

I love it, ir was between that and the one we went with for DS.

EccentricPickle · 01/06/2017 06:13

I really like it. Quite like Artie as a nn too.

MollyHuaCha · 01/06/2017 06:36

It's lovely. Unless you live in an area where th is pronounced f.

howthelightgetsin · 01/06/2017 06:56

Yep agree with Molly. Arthur is a lovely name but Arf-er is NOT.
