Does anyone know any?

Just daydreaming not an actual baby but like the name Thora, meaning thunder.

Cool to have a middle name that means lightening âš¡

Does anyone know of any?

The Irish name Meallán means lightning, pronounced Mell-awn with accent on second syllable

Vajra means thunderbolt

According to some sites Elysia means "struck by lightning" - not sure how etymologically correct that is though.

Taran is Cornish for thunder...I think it would be a great girls name.

EdmundCleverClogs · 31/05/2017 10:40

Taran is also the Welsh for thunder, and definitely a used a name (for both girls and boys, though I personally think of it as a girl's name).

Destinysdaughter · 31/05/2017 10:52

Ooh Taran is lovely!

PattyPenguin · 31/05/2017 13:29

I've never thought of Taran as a female name, only a male one. In dependable lists of Welsh names it's always listed under 'Boys'.

It's used as the translation of Donner in an adaptation of a story about Santa's reindeer!

Some nice ideas.

The only name i came up with was Ashni.

www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Ashni

But Thora Ashni sounds a bit mismatched and a bit strange to use a Hindi name.

Thora could also be a nickname for Theodora

Claire in French means light and is in the word "lightening" in a similar way to English "eclairissage"

lizzieoak · 02/06/2017 03:52

I like Thora Electra.

The OP means lightning.

Apologies for skim-reading just the title, I read it as lightening as in getting brighter / daybreak!

Interesting name inspiration OP. Best of luck
