Baby due imminently...

DC1 due imminently and DP and I are still undecided about names ...

For a boy, we have:
Ronnie (Ronald)
Roley (Roland)

For a girl, we have:
Lulu (does this need a longer version?)
Polly (my favourite but DH less keen!)

Surname is relatively uncommon, three syllables and begins with J

Any advice much appreciated!

I'd go for Roland but with Rolly or Rollo as NN - so cute!

I prefer Ronnie as I think Roley could be unfortunate if the child is ever overweight.

I'm not keen on the girls names but woood go for Polly out of the two. I just think of the singer with Lulu.

What about Lola or Layla instead of Lulu?

I like Lulu short for Louisa.

Ronald and Roland are both good. Not keen on Polly, Lola or Layla.

I think of Lulu as short for Lucinda mainly. Or Talullah. Louise and Luisa third.

Ronald is pretty retro, but that's fine.

Lulu is fine as a nn, but I would give her a full name. Options include Louise, Louisa, Lucinda and Louella.

How about Lyra or Lyla.

Love Ronald! Unfortunately know a really unpleasant (seriously unpleasant) man named Roland/Rolly. Which is probably why the name was somewhat spoiled for me.

Lola is lovely. And I personally honestly love Tallulah nn Lulu.

Lulu sounds too cutesy to me, but a gorgeous nn for a Lucy/Lucinda?
Love Polly, feel this name should be used more.
I prefer Ronald to Roland...only because Rolly/Roland makes me think of a fat person! I do like Ro/Roe as a nn for Roland.

Lulu would make a cute nn for Luella, Lucie or Lucinda. Also love Lola, Lottie or Lila! Struggle to picture Polly on an adult but its sweet for a baby/child.

Lulu I associate with Tallulah and I like it.
Polly is Fawlty Towers and parrots but I know an adult one who is very likeable and pretty. It's sort of friendly and harmless really.
Not keen on either boys name but Ronnie of the two.

Roland is nicer than Ronald, but Ronnie is infinitely better than Roley, which is just reminiscent of fat rolls.

Lulu is ok... Prefer it as a nickname for Lucinda or Lucy.

Of those choices, Ronnie and Polly by miles for me.

Both boys names are nice. Really dislike Lulu.
