Anna or Alice or?

Expecting our first and think we have it narrowed down to two. Anna or Alice?

If Alice, it would be Hannah for a middle name as a family connection. If Anna, middle name could be anything, favour Charlotte.

Have a short one syllable surname.

Wavering a little and wondering if there's another name we have missed? Quite like Eleanor but sounds like there are a lot of Ellie-type nicknames at the moment. Really like Imogen, but not its nicknames.

Anna Charlotte is beautiful.

I don't like Alice anywhere near as much.

QuietNameChange · 14/05/2017 22:09

Anna Charlotte is lovely!

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 14/05/2017 22:11

Eleanor with nn Nell?

tanyadm · 14/05/2017 22:16

I have an Alice Isobel. She's quirky and hilarious and boisterous. We do call her "Al" a lot though, which I swore I wouldn't, but her big sister started it and it stuck and suits her.

Sophronia · 14/05/2017 22:36

Anna Charlotte is lovely.

Rockaby · 14/05/2017 22:39

Love Anna Charlotte.

bridgetreilly · 14/05/2017 22:41

Anna.

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 14/05/2017 23:05

Annalise would be an alternative?

(But Anna Charlotte's very pretty, OP Smile).

Lottie991 · 14/05/2017 23:07

Anna absolutely beautiful name

Lemonnaise · 15/05/2017 00:28

Anna is a beautiful name.

Buntysoven · 15/05/2017 00:34

I love the name Alice. Couldnt ever have it because of our last name but it's pretty

DramaAlpaca · 15/05/2017 00:34

I'd pick Anna Charlotte.

It's short, neat, elegant, classy, classic and international. Great name.

I like Alice Hannah too, but not as much as Anna Charlotte.

Maggie2828 · 15/05/2017 21:10

You've chosen beautiful names!

DS has cousin Imogen nn Ginny. You might already have considered but I'd never heard that shortening before and love it!

Notso · 15/05/2017 21:24

Anna Charlotte. I looooove the name Anna.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/05/2017 23:25

❤️ Anna Charlotte, what a beautiful name choice.

CaipirinhasAllRound · 16/05/2017 07:02

Love Anna
Find Alice a bit dull

harderandharder2breathe · 16/05/2017 07:05

Anna Charlotte

Travelgeek · 16/05/2017 07:30

Wow, Anna is much preferred.

Ginny is a great nn for Imogen though.

I guess we'll see if she looks like an Anna when she arrives.

agree with pp, both lovely names but Anna has the edge.

WingMirrorSpider · 16/05/2017 10:56

Definitely Anna Charlotte. Beautiful name.

wigglesrock · 16/05/2017 10:59

I have an Anna - a very funny 6 year old one Grin. It's a lovely name, funny enough she is the youngest of three sisters and Anna never popped up as a name for either of her older sisters but as soon as I thought of it for her that was that.

I wanted Anna for my DD but DH said it was incredibly dull.

Travelgeek · 16/05/2017 17:08

Argh, frog, I do tend to prefer more classic names but I worry it strays into boring. I hope once its attached to a little person that won't be a worry.
