DC2 due at Christmas. If it's a second boy we're pretty set on Joseph and have been since before I was pregnant. So now it's going to be Xmas I'm slightly worried Joseph is a bit themed!

Tell me I'm being silly. It's not like I'm going for Melchior or anything!

No worse than a Holly. .
Joseph is lovely. .

Ha. My old boss had a Holly and a Robyn. We kept asking him there was going to be a third called Tinsel

A girl could be Carol.

DappledThings · 14/05/2017 15:19

My friend's mum is Carol because she was born 22 December. I think that might be contributing to my mild concern....

Same friend has a cousin called Eve who's birthday is 2 days after Carol's

It's fine! Joseph is a lovely name and lots of little boys have that name with no mention of Xmas ever being made.

SadieNurse · 14/05/2017 16:04

You're definitely overthinking it.

Joseph is a common enough name that nobody will think its themed. DH vetoed Joseph because he thought the child would get teased about Mary and Joseph despite being born in December... Of course there are lots of Josephs and they are never teased about Mary... Oh well...

5moreminutes · 14/05/2017 16:07

despite *not being born in December, I meant

Dozer · 14/05/2017 16:07

It's fine

Its a fine name for any time of the year Smile

OhHolyFuck · 14/05/2017 19:03

I wanted a Christmas baby called Balthazar! I think Jospeh is fine too

CyrilSneer30 · 14/05/2017 19:07

You're overthinking! I have a Christmas Day baby named Caspar Grin and no one gets that link either!

HoleySock · 14/05/2017 19:12

Definitely overthinking it. We loved Joseph too but I decided against it as I didn't like how Joe sounded in a Yorkshire accent and DH family is from Yorkshire.

Although we were in IKEA the other day and there was a little "Joooor" and I thought it sounded adorable 😂

DappledThings · 14/05/2017 19:21

Thank you all!
